One board. Two hunters. No mercy.

Narvales evolves classic naval combat into a tense game of cat and mouse. Here, the target never stays still.

In this tactical 1v1 duel, your enemy is invisible and moves just like you. There are no health bars; this is pure hunting. One false move, and the hunter becomes the prey.

Your deck of cards is much more than a weapon: it's a powerful tool for deduction. You'll have sonar, satellites, and traps at your disposal to triangulate the enemy's position on the board. But obtaining information comes at a cost: manage your energy and choose the right moment to fire.

Key Features:

>Dynamic Stealth: The enemy changes position every turn. Predict their route or lose them in the darkness.
>Tactical Deck: You'll have various types of cards at your disposal: radars to obtain information, lethal attacks, and blockades to trap the enemy in their own trap.
>Sudden Death: No health bars. A single direct hit is all it takes.
>Terminal Aesthetics: A monochromatic retro-futuristic interface where every pixel counts.

Development Status

The game is currently in development. What you will see in this short demo is a solid foundation of how the main mechanics work.

This version includes 3 types of maps, one enemy, and an initial set of 4 types of cards. Both the Enemy and the Player have a deck of 12 cards:

  • Radar: Allows you to scan an area to detect presence.
  • Attack: Shoot at a specific cell.
  • Move: Allows you to move one cell horizontally or vertically.
  • Block: Place obstacles to hinder the enemy, but keep in mind that this is a double-edged sword.
Bossito: Although the Artificial Intelligence is in its early stages, it knows how to use the radar. If it finds you, get ready to escape, because you'll notice that its attacks will fall closer and closer to your position.

This project has taken a lot of work and there is still a long way to go. I hope you enjoy it and any feedback is very welcome.

[NARVALES ] UPDATE Version 0.0.2

I decided to go back to version 0 because it's a more honest version. When we get to version 1, that's when we'll release the full game, or the vertical slice.

- The game's main menu has been modified.
- Localization has been added to switch the game to English, although settings still need to be added.
- The ability to send feedback from within the game has been added.
- Modified the “About” section slightly to make it more meaningful.
- Added new links within the game.
- Marked the slot card to indicate where to place the card.
- Changed texts within the game to make them more understandable.
- Fixed a bug in the drag and drop menu that prevented the card from fitting properly into the slot. - Increased the move card by 1.
